Timefall is a journaling app I've been wanting to make for myself for a while. The idea is to have a journaling app that you write to your future self. With the app you write entries and they get delivered to you at a random time in a week, a month, or even longer. You choose a random delivery window and after you write the entry its not viewable till its delivered on the due date. On the due date you get a notification that you tap on and read the entry. The delivery process is a special way of revealing the entry to hopefully give you surprise and delight. You can share your entries if you wish with a nice share feature that creates a card like view of the entry. Timefall supports multiple journals, tags, and custom timeframes for when you will receive an entry. Hopefully this app will bring you some joy and make you even look forward to getting a notification from your phone. What's New This update rethinks how you get started with Unplugged, makes the lock screen battery readout more trustworthy, and quietly lays the groundwork for some experimental stuff to come. New: A Rebuilt Onboarding I rebuilt onboarding from scratch. Instead of throwing every option at you up front, it now asks what you actually want out of the app and sets things up around that. Hopefully it feels less like homework and more like it gets you. A More Reliable Live Activity I put real work into the Live Activity on your lock screen. It now updates more often and more reliably while you're charging, so the battery number you glance at is actually current instead of a few minutes stale. New: Beta Toggle There's a new Beta toggle in Settings. Right now it doesn't do anything, but if you flip it on, any experimental features I'm testing will show up here automatically as they land. Turn it on once and forget about it. Stay tuned. New: Notifications Schedule You can now choose when battery alerts reach you. Set active hours so they stay quiet overnight, and if you want, limit them to only while charging or only while on battery. Fixed: Truncated Percentage Pills I fixed a small but genuinely annoying bug where the percentage pills during setup were getting cut off to "20…" instead of "20 %" on some iPhones. Under the Hood I quieted down a batch of noisy error reports that were cluttering my logs, so the real problems are easier to spot and fix. A Thank You Big thanks for the kind little tip from Germany. Getting a donation for my work still feels unreal, and it genuinely keeps me going when motivation runs low. Cats Lock

Smart Detect got noticeably better at telling a cat from a person. Far fewer false locks while you're using the keyboard. Typing fast no longer looks like a paw, and holding a single key (erasing a paragraph, or drawing a divider of dashes or dots) no longer sets it off. You also get more control: Sensitivity now has five levels instead of three, with a gentler low setting, plus a new option to ignore single-key holds. Smart Detect is optional, off by default, and runs entirely on your Mac. Built by one developer and tested by one cat.
