Running out of iPhone storage? Video Compressor helps you reduce the size of videos in your Photos library and recover space—without uploading your photo or video content to SwiftLee servers. See your potential savings before changing anything. Choose the videos you want to compress, select the quality that works for you, and compare the real result before deciding what happens to the original. HOW IT WORKS 1. Scan your library to see how much storage your videos use and what you could save 2. Pick one or more videos, or start with smart collections such as Recent, Long, Large, or 4K 3. Choose High Quality, Balanced, or Max Saving 4. Compare your original and compressed video side by side 5. Keep the original, or delete it only after you explicitly confirm WHY VIDEO COMPRESSOR • On-device HEVC compression helps reduce video size while preserving strong visual quality • Estimated savings are shown before compression starts • Compress multiple selected videos in one session • Compare the actual result using your own video—not stock footage • No account, no advertising, and no media uploads to SwiftLee servers • iCloud originals are downloaded through Apple PhotoKit and processed one at a time with clear progress • Your originals remain untouched until you choose otherwise PRIVACY AND CONTROL Scanning, analysis, and compression happen on your iPhone. If a video is stored in iCloud, Apple PhotoKit downloads it for local processing. Video Compressor never deletes an original automatically. Last update:
New: • Video Compressor now runs on iPad with Split View, Slide Over, and resizable windows. Compression opens in a sheet on larger screens; video details sit beside the video. Home uses two columns with row thumbnails in Compression Opportunities and Smart Cleanup, and Duplicate Videos uses two columns when there is room. • On foldable displays such as iPhone Duo, layouts read like a book with side-by-side detail and compression, an Up Next queue, labeled toolbar actions, and large titles on Review, Compressing, and Results. Onboarding result splits comparison and actions across both pages. • Compress Video above the tab bar on Home, Videos, and Account opens a dedicated picker with filters for 4K, large, long, screen recordings, or storage location, and sort by size. Return from review to add or remove videos. • New Home opportunities In iCloud and On This Device show a loading placeholder until your library has been checked. • A limited Photos access banner offers Allow Full Access; onboarding no longer ends on an empty Home when you shared only some videos, with ongoing banners on Home and Library. • Optional reminders after your first savings (Account > Notifications). The paywall can show onboarding savings or library potential, preloads during onboarding, and the limited-time Home offer matches the paywall Unlock unlimited compression call to action. • Onboarding can compress a small iCloud video when none is on your iPhone. Every compressed copy is verified before delete, with one higher-quality retry if needed; Custom profiles warn when settings could enlarge files. Fixed: • Results reminder card stays after canceling delete originals and aligns with other cards; reminders appear after first savings even when the rating prompt was considered. • Paywall no longer flickers between light and dark and appears without a spinner after onboarding. Onboarding results no longer truncate in longer languages. • Large-library scanning no longer freezes the app; Home stays responsive while loading and duplicate scanning pauses in the background or low memory. • iCloud compression asks once about cellular or skipping iCloud videos, pauses when downloads stay blocked, and explains failures or skips on results. iCloud badges show sooner; preview and progress thumbnails are full quality again. • Recent Videos back from Home no longer leaves a blank screen and sits below Smart Cleanup. Video detail no longer flickers when swiping back; Home shows loading after photo access changes. • Pause screen buttons match the app; failed first compression shows retry; compression targets each video's needed quality; Premium Quality and spatial or Cinematic videos are handled correctly.
