Two updates in one year? Yes, it's actually happening. With today's update, via the Settings screen you can now: - choose the map style - standard, standard with traffic, or satellite - manually set the light/dark mode of the app, or let the app default to your system setting - tapping on the speedometer will toggle between light and dark, but to choose the system mode you have to go to the Settings screen I'd also like to say thank you to the 7 people who purchased the map In-App Purchase since the last update, and to everyone who has bought it over the last 11 years.
First a quick note to say thank you to all of you who have downloaded my app, sent me feedback, or even bought the in-app purchase. I couldn't be more grateful! Version 26.0.1 fixes a bug with the background of the speedometer when returning to the fullscreen speedometer mode. I'm so sorry that bug crept in! Version 26.0.0 is a massive update which adds even more features to the map experience. You can now switch between 2D and 3D view at the touch of a button, quickly recenter the map on your current location, or tap the location button again and the map will rotate to your current heading. The app is also updated with the iOS 26 look and feel if your iPhone or iPad is on iOS 26, and I've been very careful to keep the controls easy to read. iOS/iPadOS 15-18 are still supported, and have a refreshed look and feel too! If you have any feedback, suggestions, or just want to say thanks, please email me at support@thomases.id.au. I'd love to hear from you. Even if you won't use the map, but want to say thanks, it would make my day if you sent a small contribution my way through an In-App purchase.

Get comfortable, because you're going to be blown away by this update! New in version 2.2.0 is support for all the latest iPhones and iPads* as of September 22, 2023, with some subtle yet beautiful tweaks to the UI, particularly for my awesome users who have bought the In-App Purchase to see your location on the map at the same time as your speed. I also made the smallest version of the speedometer bigger - because bigger is better. Still rocking an older device? You'll be able to enjoy this update if you've got iOS 13 or newer. I loved working on the improvements, and I hope you love this update too. But if you don't, please send me feedback by tapping on the settings button and then Feedback. And if you do love it, I'd be eternally grateful if you could leave write a review on the AppStore. *iPad with Cellular chip is required for GPS functionality
Support for iOS 13 and Dark Mode. Maps are now dark when in dark mode.
Added support for iPad Pro and squashed some bugs.
I hope you're sitting down. This eagerly awaited updated contains a new font. Introducing, Gill Sans Semi Bold! iPhone X and iPad Massive users can get the unbridled Speedometer experience on your awesome devices too. If you're still rocking a classic iDevice, you plucky folk are not forgotten. This update is available all the way back to iOS 9. And welcoming phase one of the future: you can now (via a short trial) see your location on a map AT THE SAME TIME as the speedometer. And if you love it, you can purchase the map feature with an in-app purchase.
