Last update:
v3.5.1 includes bug fixes and the following improvements: - Improved backup and restore functionality with backup files preserving more data. - Map directions can now show alternate routes, with the primary route emphasized and alternates drawn more subtly. - Ability to find and manage duplicate notes that could have similar coordinates. Pyxis v3.5 now includes: • Major productivity upgrade with Task Lists: - You can create and manage a dedicated task list tied to each of your saved locations syncing perfectly between all of your devices. • Associate Nearby Places: - You can link a nearby point of interest to one of your notes. This allows you to look up relevant information for that particular place from within your notes. For example, you can link a restaurant to one of your pins. From then on, you can simply click on the pin to get access to the restaurant’s website, phone number, hours, etc. When you add a location to your collection via the local search, the relevant places are automatically associated with your pints for you. • Navigating to your places gets practical: - Routing + travel time support: Added route and travel time capabilities directly into each location, allowing you to quickly glance at the path ahead and see how long it will take you to get there. Routing options include walking, automobile, cycling, and transit with the ability to avoid highways and tolls. • Historical Weather: - You can now explore historical daily and monthly weather averages alongside your daily and hourly weather forecasts. • Forecasts become more explorable with chart scrubbing: - Interactive scrubbing across all weather charts allows you to explore the weather details. • iPad experience redesigned with NavigationSplitView: - Implemented a modern split-view navigation structure to improve multitasking and information density on the larger iPad screens. • Search comes to your notes: - You can now search through your notes via the notes list. The search then also persists through to the map to help you easily find your location pins and their associated notes. • Automation surfaces expanded via Shortcuts: - Added and refined App Intents, including a new Get Weather shortcuts. The Settings now include Shortcuts examples to help you get started. • Tags and filtering improved for organization at scale: - Added more sorting and filtering options to help you easily find your notes. The filters are also now synchronized between the note list and the map. • Better Map Annotation Algorithm - The map pins are now more evenly distributed at all zoom levels. Previously, more pins showed up on the left and top left. The distribution is now even across the whole screen to give you a better sense of all your pins. • UI/UX and brand polish pass; - Updated icons/assets, refined settings and onboarding/paywall flows, and improved gestures/transitions throughout map and note screens. • Stability, quality, and performance improvements - Fixed session-reset issues between app launches, map association bugs, and precipitation charts bugs; improved fetching of pins for smoother large-data behavior.
