GamingBuddy for iPad was frequently requested by users and now the iPad version is finally here. The app takes advantage of the larger screen to present media in bigger sizes and show more content without needing to open additional screens. Saved data is synced across devices via iCloud.
Favorited games can be further organized by custom tags. These tags are then visible on game detail screens, in lists, and can be used to filter games. Also, these tags can be combined with status (like Backlog, Playing, etc.) and platform to quickly find relevant games.
Game detail for favorite games was streamlined to provide easier access to additional features like changing platform or viewing activity history. Users can also add notes which support hyperlinks, in addition to the existing ability to rate games.
To not miss any new game announcements from developers or publishers, users can follow these companies to get notifications about new games and view all announcements on the company’s detail screen. Full access to this feature requires GamingBuddy Unlimited, free version allows the ability to follow up to two companies to try this feature.
A new option to find games based on natural language description without knowing the name. This can be super useful for older titles. For example, user might ask to find “underwater exploration game with submarine” and one of the first result will the the Subnautica game.
Free version offers three searches every month. GamingBuddy Unlimited removes this limit.
New GamingBuddy Unlimited feature allows users to view all “Mighty” rated games from OpenCritic for the three main platforms - PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One.
