Meet Pestle for iOS 26 – reimagined for Liquid Glass and Apple Intelligence. What's new: – Every screen in Pestle has been upgraded to complement Liquid Glass, with recipe images blending beautifully into the ingredients. – Pestle can now leverage on-device Apple Intelligence to parse recipes from more websites than ever. – You can now add sections for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner to the Meal Planner - and you can even add your own custom sections. – Timers in Pestle now behave like system timers, to ensure even if your device is muted or has Do Not Disturb enabled, you won't overcook your pasta! – Search is now a dedicated page, with quick access to recently added recipes, folders, and any categories from across your entire cookbook. You can access search by tapping the icon in the tab bar, or by pulling down in your cookbook. – Pestle's recipe editor has gotten an upgrade too, with a new button to add ingredient sections! – It's now easier than ever to sort your recipes and change your layout, with a new dedicated button in the top right of the Cookbook. – Recipes from social media without clear names will now use Apple Intelligence to generate one. - Timers will now name themselves using Apple Intelligence. And that's not all! A lot of bugs have been squashed also: – Fixed a crash that could occur in the Meal Planner. – Sort now works in folders. – Categories and cuisines were difficult to remove. – Some TikTok's couldn't be imported. – Grams and Kilograms will have more sensible rounding behaviour. Fixed in 3.0.1: – Meal plans in household could be missing recipes. – The share pestle card could bounce around. – Steps inserted at the start of an instruction section could end up at the end. – Creating a household could crash Pestle. – Sections in meal plans couldn’t be deleted. – Sort settings wouldn’t persist between launches. – Export settings wouldn’t be persisted. – Instructions would be included in printed recipes even if they were empty. Changed in 3.0.2: – Fixed bookmarks not being tappable on iPhone. – Fixed the highlighter not working when a recipe failed to import. – Added an indicator for pull to search – You can now long-press recipe titles, descriptions and notes to copy them. – Fixed shortcuts not returning ingredients or instructions for recipes. – Fixed “1 2/3” being parsed as “1 3/4”. – Fixed searching for recipes with hyphenated titled being difficult. – Recently added recipes wouldn’t be sorted correctly.
