Did It is now designed for iPhone Duo, with shortcuts beside today and a layout that adapts as you fold and unfold. Adding text entries and sketches is faster and more responsive. The icon and emoji pickers have a better layout. Did I mention iPhone Duo?
A hot fix to address a display issue that could affect people with Reduce Motion turned on. 2.3 was a big one: Did It now runs on iPad and Mac, and a few things you've asked for made it in too. • iPad and Mac. Same journal, bigger canvas. It's a Designed for iPad app on Macs with Apple silicon, so the one download covers all three. • Keyboard shortcuts if you've got one: ⌘N for a new entry, arrow keys to move between days, ⌘F to search. • iCloud sync. Optional, between your devices, still no Did It account. The backup you already know is still there; this is the "same days on the iPad" piece. • Sketches. Draw something, save it, and it lands on the day as a little sticker. • Completed Reminders. Connect Did It to Apple Reminders to see the reminders you completed each day. Select the ones that matter most to import and edit in Did It. • Siri AI, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and a Control Center button. Add something without opening the app first. • Skip empty days when swiping. A quiet day doesn't have to be a stop. Did It is never meant to make you feel judged.
A grow-up-date. It’s been a while. Did It now runs on iPad and Mac, and a few things you've asked for made it in too. • iPad and Mac. Same journal, bigger canvas. A write-up-date. Your entries can do more now, and a few rough edges have been smoothed down. - Markdown support in text entries lets you bold, italicise, strikethrough, and add links. Use the new format buttons to add markdown, or write markdown yourself. - Restoring from iCloud now shows progress, so you know something's actually happening. - More keyword and icon matching. There are some fun ones in there, enjoy finding them. - A small thank you for long-time regulars. You'll know it when you see it. - Pull up/down to add an entry is less trigger-happy. Intentional gestures only. - Fixed a sizing issue with the 'exclude' option on shareable images. - Fixed an issue where Settings text could be cut off if you'd changed your system font size.
A back-up-date. Your entries are safer, and the app should feel a little more solid. • Improved manual export and import so it's faster and more reliable. • iCloud backup runs more smoothly thanks to some under-the-hood optimisations. • History now shows date numbers on every month card, so you can find a specific day without doing mental arithmetic. • Dragging entries now feels more real. They follow your finger in all directions instead of just sliding up and down. • Pull to add is now direction-aware. Pull down from the top to add at the top, pull up from the bottom to add at the bottom. • And custom app icons! Your app icon now changes to match your selected colour theme.
A grown-up-date. Every time the app came back from the background it was triggering an iCloud sync that got increasingly inefficient as your entries grew. On large libraries it could use up all the memory the app was allowed. That's fixed now, properly. • The app stays fast however many entries and photos you have. • iCloud sync is smarter, faster, and no longer happens all at once. • Smoother experience when changing colour or date on an entry. • Better progress and feedback during syncs, exports and imports.
A tidy-up-date, mostly behind the scenes and in Settings. Here's what's changed: * You can now change the date on a photo entry. Should have always been possible, and now it is. * New entries now avoid repeating the colour you just used. Subtle, but satisfying once you notice it. * Adding photos should now be much faster. * Fixed an issue where adding a caption to a photo could affect the shareable image. Captions are great, shareables should be too. * Fixed a potential issue with locales not updating correctly in some situations. * A lot of quiet tidying in Settings. Nothing dramatic, just things that were bothering me. * Merch samples arrived, so Settings now has a photo of the actual shirts. They look great.

Based on your fantastic feedback, here's what's new: • Your device knows which day the week starts on. Now the months in History do too. • There's more control over notifications, what's better than one toggle? Three of course. • Photo captions. No more needing to add a photo and then add a text entry. • Better handling of very long entries, and better support for larger accessibility font sizes. Did It should always feel comfortable whatever your settings. • Keyword icon matching has been quietly getting smarter. It now handles multiple languages at the same time, which matters more than it might sound if your entries mix languages. • The app icon now supports dark mode, and tinted and clear display settings. It looks right at home whatever your Home Screen is doing. • The widget has had a proper makeover too, looking great in tinted and clear modes. If you haven't placed a Did It widget yet, now's a good time.
• When you add an entry with a different date, Did It now takes you straight there. Feels obvious in hindsight. • Shareables can now show more than double the entries (up to 39 single-line text entries, up from 15). There's a maximum image height to contend with, but I've squeezed in as many entries as I can for you. • A few things you probably won't notice but will hopefully feel: faster launch times (especially on older devices), more reliable backup imports, and better icon keyword matching across all supported languages. • Also fixed an issue where some photos were showing up rotated. A small thing, but an annoying one. • And if you're curious, there's now a total entry count in Settings > Backup.
Adding an entry with a different date now takes you to that date. Shareables now support up to 39 entries (previously 15). Faster launch time, especially on older devices. Improved icon keyword matching across all supported languages. Added a total entry count in Settings > Backup. More reliable backup import.
Did It is now available in 13 languages: Bosnian, Dutch, English, Estonian, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese. This update also improves startup time and photo selection.
A modest update with more icons and improved word matching. Also fixes an issue that could sometimes prevent images being added, along with a few small messaging improvements.
A bunch of small wins in this update. • Share your day as an image, pick which wins to include • More colours, more icons, and smarter icon matching • Dark mode colours that pop much more than before • Faster launch and improved search • Quick add gesture now also appears at the bottom of long lists, so you can pull down or pull up to add a new win • New release and update badges so you do not miss what is new • Fixes for text entry, widgets, photo imports, backups and history • Added a small tip jar in Settings for anyone who wants to support Did It If Did It is helping you notice your wins, a quick App Store review really helps.
This update adds: • Home screen widgets in your chosen theme, showing today’s win count and a quick add button • iCloud backup, so your wins stay safe • Share support, so you can send photos and screenshots straight into Did It
