- Your step count follows your walk as it happens, also with the iPhone locked in your pocket, instead of waiting for Apple Health to catch up. - Days off: mark today as a rest day or a sick day, or a past day from the Steps Log. Your streak skips it, the reminders stay quiet, and a challenge day is excused. - A running challenge sets the target on the Steps tab, in the widgets, the Live Activity and the reminders, and the goal card shows which day of the challenge you are on. - The Lock Screen ring widget draws the pace mark like the Live Activity, and the update button on the Live Activity shows the number the app has. - Motion & Fitness access is asked for once. Your steps stay on your device. - Roadmap: see what is coming next and vote for it, in Settings → About → Roadmap. Let's move a bit more!
- The "Your usual pace" chart follows your day again: no more flat line with a jump at the current time. - The usual pace card shows up right away when you open the app. Let's move a bit more!
Bug fixes and improvements
- Fixed: two Live Activities could show on the Lock Screen at once, one of them stuck on an old step count. There is now only ever one. - When the count on the Live Activity is out of date, the ring keeps its pace color and dims, instead of turning blue.
• The update button on the Live Activity now answers every tap: it shows a spinner while it fetches your steps, and refreshes the count and its time even when your steps did not change. • "Start When I Open the App" now starts the Live Activity when you open the app during your walking window, and right away when you turn it on. • The pace symbol now sits inside the ring on the Lock Screen too, the same as in the Dynamic Island.
• New Live Activity: follow today's pace on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. A small ring shows your steps, a dot shows where your pace is, and the color tells you if you are behind, on pace or ahead. Start it from the goal card on the Steps tab or in Settings. • Widgets: the ring now marks your goal pace, and the mark keeps moving through the day. • Medium widget: the steps to go take the color of your pace. • The widget ring resets at midnight on its own.
• Choose what reminders say: walk only, walk in minutes, walk and steps to go, steps to go only, full progress, or your own text with Pro. • Reminder numbers stay fresher between app launches. • Fixed reminder times drifting by a few minutes. • The "Reminders set" confirmation shows right away. • On iOS 27 the Steps screen gives its top bar to the content while you scroll.
• Reminders are easier to read: each one names the size of the walk and the steps still to go, nothing else. • Numbers and percentages follow your language everywhere. • Smoother History, Steps and Goals screens. • Built with Apple's Enhanced Security protections.
• Faster on iOS 27: History and the Steps Log open smoothly. • The Steps ring shows today's count right away and keeps it if Health is briefly unavailable. • Reminders: fixed messages that described the previous day's progress, and reminders enabled from the goal editor now use today's real step count. • Deleting a goal asks for confirmation in a clear alert. • Increase Contrast is supported throughout the app.
