Images in your notes • Paste a screenshot from the clipboard or drag an image file into a snippet and it appears right where your cursor is • Images travel with your snippets: they sync via iCloud as attachments, ride your backups, and show up in the note on every Mac • Move an image within a note with cut and paste; remove it from the note (or from the attachments strip) and both stay in step • Search finds your notes by the image's name, and the snippet list shows a thumbnail Reliability • Fixed a rare auto-save gap where an edit made at just the wrong moment, like an image pasted right after typing — it could look saved but silently vanish when you reopened the note • The menubar Assistant's global shortcut can now be recorded right in its settings pane, and the help screens always show your actual shortcut, not the default
Workspaces now sync across your Macs • Workspaces you create finally appear on all your Macs, with your folders and snippets following along — organizational structure now syncs the way Apple Notes folders do • Prefer to keep a workspace on one Mac only? Its sync can stay off — workspaces with sync disabled never leave your machine • Sync is more resilient overall: a single problematic item can no longer stall everything behind it, and you'll see an honest count when something can't be applied Take control of your backups • New in Settings → Backup: keep every manual backup (as before) or only the last 5, 10, or 20 — older ones are removed automatically after each new backup • "Remove Old Backups Now" button for a one-click tidy-up • Backup cleanup now also runs after manual backups, so backup folders can't grow forever
• Fixed snippets getting stuck "waiting to upload" — especially after importing from SnippetsLab or when using multiple workspaces. The sync queue now checks and repairs itself on every sync • Sync status: if iCloud rejects an item, you'll see a clear error in the sync status instead of a green checkmark • Items too large for iCloud are flagged individually instead of silently blocking everything behind them • Snippets and folders created or edited by your AI assistant (via MCP) now sync to iCloud too
Pick your own shortcuts • New Settings → Shortcuts pane: remap the main keyboard shortcuts: New Snippet, New Note, New Folder, Command Center, Find, Copy, Favorite, Sync, and Publish • The menu bar popup hotkey (⌘⇧V) is remappable too, and works system-wide. Handy when another app already claims that combo • Menus and toolbar buttons update the moment you remap, with conflict warnings and one-click reset Menu bar popup improvements • Search filter pills are now keyboard-first: ← and → walk between them, Backspace deletes of pills are exactly like the main window's search • A quieter, smoother popup under the hood
NEW: Create subfolders directly • Right-click any folder and choose "New Subfolder…" to create a folder inside it. No more creating it at the top level and dragging it into place • The parent folder opens automatically so your new subfolder is right there • Right-click the "Folders" header in the sidebar to create a top-level folder • The Folder menu now carries the full set: New Folder, New Subfolder, Rename Folder, and Delete Folder FIXED: Deleting a folder no longer deletes your snippets • Snippets from a deleted folder now go to the Trash, where you can restore them for 30 days. Previously they were removed permanently, with no way to get them back • Restored snippets return to the top level of your workspace, since their original folder is gone • Deleting a folder from the sidebar now asks you to confirm first, and the confirmation explains exactly what will happen
NEW: Rich Text Notes • Keep notes alongside your code. A new Note type with true WYSIWYG editing, no Markdown syntax in sight • Format like pure notes app: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, Title, Heading, Subheading, Monostyled, bulleted and numbered lists, and block quotes • Highlight text in five colors: purple, pink, orange, mint, and blue • Smart lists: Return continues with the next bullet or number, and ends the list on an empty item • Styles apply to the whole line straight from the cursor and no selection needed • Under the hood, notes are portable Markdown and they travel through iCloud sync, backups, gists, and MCP like everything else REDESIGNED: Toolbar and window • The main window is rebuilt on native macOS foundations — the toolbar now aligns with your sidebar and snippet list • Search improvements: suggestions are clickable, and tag: and folder: filters become neat chips you can walk and delete with the keyboard • The current folder's name sits next to the workspace switcher, and your license badge moved to the sidebar footer • Narrow windows behave natively: toolbar items fold into an overflow menu, and the sidebar hides and returns automatically as you resize FIXED • The "Show Dock Icon" setting is now respected • New snippets are always revealed and selected in the list, whatever your sort order • Edits made moments before switching snippets are never lost • ⌘N creates a snippet instead of opening a new window • Sturdier iCloud sync: fixed rare crashes from duplicate tag names and attachments arriving out of order • Plenty of smaller fixes and polish throughout
• Fixed: nested folders could appear flat after your library synced to a new Mac. Folders now keep their hierarchy, and affected libraries are repaired automatically on the next sync. • SnippetsLab import can now skip duplicate snippets already in your library (on by default), with a toggle in Settings → Backup. Great when importing several overlapping libraries. • Fixed SnipperApp 2 import: snippets without a folder are now visible in your workspace after importing.
SnipperApp 3 now works with Raycast. Install the new SnipperApp extension for Raycast to: • Search your snippet library and paste instantly • Capture the clipboard or your current selection as a new snippet • Search and import community snippets from the SnipperApp Hub • Let Raycast AI find and create snippets for you This update also adds an "Open in SnipperApp" action, so you can jump from a Raycast result straight to the snippet in the app. Search the Raycast Store for "SnipperApp" to get started.
• Creating a new snippet now jumps the keyboard cursor straight into the title field. You can name it immediately without reaching for the mouse. • New preference (Settings → General → Snippet List) to hide the content preview line under each snippet for a shorter, denser list.
• Add German localization. SnipperApp 3 is now available in German on German-speaking systems. Thank you to our translator for an amazing work! • New preference (Settings → General → Snippet List) to hide the language badge, relative time, and source indicator under each snippet, for a cleaner list view.
Fixes ⌘F keyboard shortcut. • Press ⌘F anywhere in the app to jump to the search field. • Press ⌘F while editing a snippet to open an in-editor find bar and search within the current snippet.

Move Snippets Between Folders You can now drag and drop snippets from the snippet list onto any folder in the sidebar to reorganize them instantly. Multi-selection is supported — select several snippets and move them all at once. Move to Folder & Workspace Menus Right-click any snippet to access the new "Move to Folder" submenu, which lists all your folders with proper hierarchy. If you have multiple workspaces, a "Move to Workspace" option lets you transfer snippets between them.
