Perch 1.2.2 refines the keyboard, reworks Settings in plain words, and keeps your list steadier. · Improved keyboard handling in the list, including ⌫ to delete the selected reminders. · Every setting now explains itself underneath, in plain words, and Panel Size moved to General with the other appearance settings. · Your list stays put, with quiet retries if Reminders is briefly unavailable. It also refreshes when your Mac wakes and when you open the panel. · Unchecking a reminder is quiet: the row simply comes back, with no confirmation. VoiceOver still announces it.
This version of Perch brings a countdown option for day headings and fixes a few things quick entry got wrong. · New setting: Day Headings, set to Date or Countdown. · Extra spaces no longer lose the day: "tuesday 14:00" still means Tuesday. · Short weekdays work where they can only mean the day: "tue 14:00", "every tue", "next wed". · "due friday 17:00" now lands on Friday at 17:00 instead of right now. "until friday" too. · When Today has overdue reminders, the rest sit under their own Today heading.
Thanks for using Perch! This version makes it easier to fix a mistake and to type what you mean. It also runs on macOS 14 Sonoma and later, so it works on a lot more Macs. Typing · You can now edit a reminder by typing, not just create one. Type "tomorrow 9am" or "every week" into a reminder and Perch updates the date or the repeat. It shows you the change before it applies it. · More ways of writing dates work: "everyday", "fortnightly", "tmrw", "tonite". · "at ten" and "at 1000" both mean ten o'clock. A time on its own means today, or tomorrow if that hour has passed. · List names now match without accents, so typing "nakupy" finds your "Nákupy" list. · If a word is nearly right, Perch asks what you meant instead of ignoring it. · Type a few reminders in one go by separating them with semicolons. · Paste a web address into a reminder and Perch turns it into a link you can open. Selecting and undoing · Hold Shift or Command to select more than one reminder, then complete, move, delete or change the priority of all of them at once. · After anything you do, a line in the footer says what happened and offers an Undo button. · Undo takes back a whole batch in one go, and it names the action clearly. · A repeating reminder now appears once, on its next date, instead of appearing many times. Settings · Choose which Reminder lists appear in Perch. · Choose a panel size: small, medium or large. · Adjust how transparent the panel is for better contrast. · Show a counter in the menu bar: "6/10" means six done today out of ten due. · All keyboard shortcuts are now listed in the Settings, with a search box. Plus many small fixes throughout.
Thank you for using Perch! This version is about reaching things faster — dates you can click, a shortcut for every scope, a friendlier first run, and a new language. - Dates. Editing a reminder now shows the date and time as two pills. One opens a calendar, the other a clock. Typing dates into a text field was never the good part. - Deadlines. Right-click a reminder (or press ⌃↩) for Today, Tomorrow, This Weekend, Next Week. Everything lands all-day, so picking "Today" at four in the afternoon doesn't immediately hand you something overdue. That felt rude. - Duplicate. A new menu option that copies the lot: title, notes, date, priority, list. For the things you have to do again. And again. - Shortcuts. Today, Upcoming, All, and No Date each open from anywhere, with ⌃⌥1–4 out of the box. All rebindable in Settings ▸ Shortcuts alongside Open Perch, and anything you'd already set carries over. - Completed. A new setting keeps the last day's finished reminders at the bottom of the panel. - Slovak. The whole interface, and quick entry reads it too: "vysávať každú stredu o 9" gets the repeat and the time. - Settings. Now a real window, with General, Shortcuts, and About tabs. It used to be a popover doing its best. Plus smaller refinements and fixes throughout, including smoother keyboard navigation.
