VisionDesk 3.0.1 brings a bigger way to watch, a more personal workspace and extensive improvements since 2.0.2. WATCH & PICTURE LIGHT • Bring one Mac screen forward at cinema scale. Park the other screens beside it or hide them, then return to your previous arrangement with Leave Watch. • Adjust canvas width, distance, height, aspect and curve live. A dedicated Mac Watch page keeps Canvas, Sound & 3D and Atmosphere together. • Use supported playback controls, volume and 15-second skips. Fullscreen content can suggest Watch; you choose when to enter. • Screen Glow follows the colors at the picture’s edges, including in 3D. Tune light per screen or across the workspace, separately from surroundings dimming. • Optional Auto-3D recognizes supported stereo layouts. Manual format choices remain in control. DOCK & WIDGET STUDIO • Customize visible Dock functions, their order within groups, and Compact or Expanded presentation. Your control Dock stays consistent across workspaces. • Eight redesigned widgets: Clock, Timer, Battery, Now Playing, Next Up, Shortcut Deck, Quick Note & Clipboard and Stream Health. • Every widget now supports Small, Medium and Large, plus its compact Bar composition. Use Bar, Board or separate floating placement, with sets for one workspace or Everywhere. • Enjoy clearer clocks and break reminders, timer presets and progress, separate headset/Mac battery information, media artwork and controls, and calendar events with Join on Mac. • Shortcut Deck adds useful actions and paging. Quick Note separates writing, dictation and explicit clipboard sharing. Stream Health explains connection quality and Capture → Encode → Decode → Shown. YOUR WORKSPACE, MORE PRECISELY • Refreshed Mac navigation: Live View, Arrangement, Screens, Watch, Profiles and Dock & Widgets. Vision Pro organizes controls into Desk, Workspace, Dock & Widgets and Quality. • Choose Virtual screens only or Hybrid and select individual physical displays on Mac. Sharing, privacy and Desktop On/Off requests have distinct controls, with Restore physical displays for recovery. • “Set up for…” proposes Coding, Writing, Meeting, Watch or Design layouts for you to review, apply and undo. With Apple Intelligence available, type or dictate your own request for an on-device plan. • Improved precise values, screen-bend controls, layout editing and saved-workspace naming, deletion and synchronization. • Optional left-thumb-and-index pinch scrolling in Pointer mode, more reliable Arrange gestures, and improved remote pointer and keyboard delivery. • Expanded English and German Shortcuts actions for screens, quality and Watch, including new Vision Pro connection and workspace actions. QUALITY & RELIABILITY • Motion joins Performance, High and Max. Your Mac selects an appropriate cadence for your headset, display count and hardware. • Improvements to capture, encoding, frame pacing, stalled-stream recovery and transitions between screens or formats. • More resilient audio buffering, output-route changes, pairing, reconnects and saved connection handling. • Clearer permission and session feedback, larger interaction areas, better text reflow, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion support. One complete display remains free, including Mac audio and input, quality choices and Live 3D. Pro adds two to five displays, Saved Workspaces and Precision Layout. The Mac companion remains free. Requires visionOS 27 and an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 27. Use the matching Mac companion.
VisionDesk 2.0.2 is our biggest update yet — a major leap from 1.0.2 for your spatial Mac workspace. • Turn ordinary Mac content into Live 3D, or play Side-by-Side and Over-Under media with eye swap, convergence and adjustable depth. • Stream improved Mac audio and use pointer, click, scroll and external keyboard input directly in the workspace. • Move, scale, turn and recenter every screen together with Move All, while keeping full individual placement, size, tilt, turn and bend controls. • Choose Performance, High or hardware-adaptive Max independently from Looks Like, aspect ratio and orientation. Performance now starts correctly on the first launch, and Max preserves at least film-friendly 24 fps. • Use 16:9, 16:10, 4:3, 21:9, 32:9, portrait and Retina-backed display modes where macOS supports them. • Enjoy a redesigned spatial Dock with clearer one-column controls, stronger contrast, larger angle-safe gaze targets, real row spacing and reliable targeting wherever the Dock is parked. • Create smaller screens with a precise logarithmic size control that no longer jumps when released. • Move between screens without a black flash: the last complete picture remains visible until the new focus texture is ready. • Auto Arrange, Match Mac Arrangement and curved-layout rebasing keep screen identity, direction, windows and manual placement intact as your workspace changes. • See time, session duration, connection health and Vision Pro battery information in the workspace. • Keep your Apple system environment, reveal a Desk Window toward your keyboard, or use a private Custom Photo environment with optional spatial depth. • Benefit from major HEVC/H.264, UDP/TCP, FEC, retransmit, adaptive bitrate, presentation cadence, reconnect, decoder, input and persistence improvements for faster and more dependable long sessions. One complete display remains free, including every quality mode, Mac audio and input, all supported shapes, spatial controls, Side-by-Side, Over-Under and Live 3D. Pro adds two to five displays, Saved Workspaces, Precision Layout and Custom Photo environments. Matching Mac Host 2.0.2: https://in16guus.github.io/visiondesk-releases/downloads.html
Steadier picture when the network is not • A frame that disappears completely is now recognised as loss rather than silently waited for. Previously a screen could sit frozen on its last good picture with nothing reporting a problem. • Presentation heals itself on a timer instead of depending on the Mac noticing first, so a stalled screen comes back on its own. • Datagrams that merely arrive out of order are no longer counted as loss. Busy Wi-Fi now costs far less quality than it used to, because the Mac is no longer told about damage that never happened. Layout • A screen can be dragged anywhere around you. Placement was previously constrained to nearer and further along the direction you were already facing. Better together with the new Mac host • VisionDesk Mac Host 1.0.2 adds Motion 90: 1080p-class screens run at 90 fps where the encoder budget measurably allows it, with the virtual display's own refresh rate matched to the stream. • The host update also removes the stutter when focus moves between screens, and repairs a screen showing a still image on its own. Both work with any headset version — updating the Mac is worthwhile even before this app updates. Download the Mac host at https://in16guus.github.io/visiondesk-releases/
Custom Photo environments • Your photo is now read for the coverage it actually has, rather than assumed to be a full 2:1 panorama. Photos strips the metadata most panoramas ship with, so pictures that used to wrap incorrectly now sit the way they were taken. • Flat photos gain depth. The depth pass runs across the sphere in rectilinear tiles, so a Custom Photo environment has real parallax instead of resting on a fixed-radius sphere. A reworked interface in the headset • The control panel, the workspace dock and the screen preview are rebuilt around the screen you have selected. The separate "Edit screen" picker is gone — selecting a display is the tap you already made. • Distance, size, tilt, bend and viewing radius are adjustable in place, and stay in sync with the Mac. Desk window • The passthrough cutout onto your real keyboard and hands follows a clearer, more predictable placement rule.
