AMBerDisk allows you to take various actions when you connect a disk to your Mac – block the mount, mount it with special options (such as read-only), or run a script of your choosing. You can create various rules that match volumes based on their UUID, exact name, or a regular expression (regex) matching their name. And if you later want to mount a volume that was blocked from automatically mounting, you can do so manually. The app shows you volumes that are currently mounted and unmounted, showing you the information you need to create rules and giving you the option to unmount or mount them as you'd like. You can also put unmounted disks in the menu bar, giving you easy access to mount them manually (requires permission in Settings). Useful for: - Reducing clutter if you have an external drive with many partitions - Avoiding accidental writes to a drive you want to preserve - Automating actions when you connect a drive with the full power of shell scripting - Performing the same type of action for a large number of volumes based on a single regex without hardcoding each one Note: Encrypted drives may not work with some features, such as remounting the drive from the AMBerDisk app or menu bar, or remounting them as read-only.

Last update:
- Fix an issue where internal volumes (such as another volume on the internal disk where another version of macOS is installed) may not appear in the UI. - Improve handling of actions where the target volume is an internal disk (for example, when AMBerDisk is set to run at startup). For best results with these volumes, enable all background access.
