Pixel art and Liquid Glass. Retro soul, modern surface. Every scene, every character, every carefully placed pixel — now framed by the refractive, frosted surfaces of iOS 26. It's a combination that shouldn't be this beautiful, and somehow is. Dark Mode is here too, if that's how you roll.
This update is about your Home Screen. About the quiet satisfaction of seeing your progress without having to go looking for it. Simple Counter Widget: Sometimes you want to mark a date, a decision, a moment, and simply watch the days accumulate. This widget does exactly that. Choose any date, and it counts forward from there. Silently. Independently. Without touching your streak, your check-ins, or your Drynosaur. Weekly Check-ins Widget: The flame cards you know from inside the app, now living on your Home Screen. A medium widget that shows your current week of sober check-ins at a glance. The same considered detail, just always there. Hunger Status Widget: Drynosaurs love food. This widget makes sure you always know how they're doing. Hungry, full, or fed for the day. Without ever having to open the app to find out.
Feeding and petting your Drynosaur got a big upgrade. Clearer feedback, livelier reactions, and more polished interactions. Your Drynosaur now has a Friendship level. Feed and pet them to grow it - stronger bonds mean better daily check-in rewards. Food is now purchased with Drynocoins rather than earned from feeding. The Campfire tab is now Basecamp - a home for expeditions, games, mindfulness, and more. Expeditions are guided multi-day trails with short lessons, reflections, and daily rewards. Dryno Bounce is a new minigame in Basecamp. Keep the ball in the air and see how far you can go.
Your Drynosaur deserves a name that's entirely your own. Find it waiting for you in Settings, whenever you're ready.
Small improvements. Thoughtfully made.
The campfire is ready. A pixel art fire, quietly alive against the dark. Sit with the crackle of the flames, or let lo-fi music carry you somewhere softer. A place to decompress, to reset, and to remind yourself that rest is part of this too. I've also made refinements throughout. Small improvements to animations and UI that I hope you'll feel, even if you can't quite place them. And for those of you using quote widgets in dark mode: I heard you. That's fixed now.
Your Drynosaur now has somewhere to live. Habitats. Some still, some alive with movement. Each one crafted with care, unlocked through the simple act of showing up. A quiet acknowledgement of the time you've put in. I've also been listening. A new feature request board lets your ideas surface - the most resonant ones rising to the top, shaping what comes next. Find it in the settings or at the campfire.
I've given your Drynosaur legs. You can now take them for a walk - a quiet, unhurried moment shared between you. I've also created a game. Your Drynosaur runs, jumps, and the world rushes past. It's simple, and it's joyful, and I think joy matters here. But I wanted to give you something more reflective too. Insights now surface your mood and cravings over time. Patterns made visible, so you can understand yourself a little better with each passing week. Your journal entries are all in one place now too. Everything you've written, whenever you need it.
I've deepened your connection with your Drynosaur. You can now pet and feed them - small gestures that make your journey feel more personal, more alive. As you progress, you'll now earn Drynocoins. They're a recognition of your commitment, building with each step you take. I've also built a Shop where you can spend your Drynocoins on Widgets, and there's a lot more unlockables coming soon.
I've made Drynosaur more accessible and more flexible. Accessibility improvements ensure the experience works beautifully for everyone. And now you can set your sober start date to any point before your first check-in. Because your journey began when you decided it began, not when you opened the app.
