- Added Medium nib icon to array of icons you can add to a nib entry. - Fixed an issue with the relationship between nibs and brand names not being respected. - Wishlist pens now display correctly when sorting by Brand. Pens will sort by brand name, then model name in descending alphabetical order.
- iPad and Mac versions have been brought up to speed with the iPhone version. All features are now accessible on all device versions. - A significant data sync issue was reported by several users. This issue has been isolated and fixed. If you are having issues with data syncing between devices, this release should fix the issue. It may require manually deleting the app and re-downloading from the App Store in order to trigger the initial sync. Users can now add nibs to their library. Nibs can be displayed with custom icons. Nib and pen relationships added to an inked entry is tracked in both the pen and nib detail views. Worked to fix a bug that caused crashes when adding a pen or ink to your library.

New Feature! A new map feature for displaying brick and mortar pen stores and 2025 pen shows. Find directions, visit their website, and track your visits to these community locations. 2024.1 New for 2024! Pen Shows and Budget Tracker. Also, I added some friends to the Settings view so you can explore more pen-related iOS apps from the community. -------------------------- Check out the new Pen Show tab for a calendar of pen shows past, present, and future. The pen show calendar currently requires an internet connection but an offline version is coming. This feature will also be coming to iPad later this year. You can keep track of your budget for each show and document purchases you make and events you attend. Feel free to reach out with pen show information or corrections. For those experiencing issues with submitting feedback in the past, those bugs should be resolved. Check out the new Friends section of Settings to find other pen-related apps. Fixed scaling issues with photos in pen detail view and added a pinch to zoom function for those photos as well.
Penedex now supports widgets! You can place collection stats and ink swatches on your homescreen. Keep a list of your currently inked pens on your home screen. Tons of widgets to choose from. Some under the hood improvements have been made to support future updates and features for 2024 so stay tuned.
I have a few treats and fixed some tricks just in time for October. **WHAT'S NEW** • Two more icons have materialized! One is a spooky spectre looking for a place to haunt your home screen. The other is an immaterial assistant for all you rookies out there in need of a little guidance. **IMPROVEMENTS** • Small improvements made throughout the app to fix UI inconsistencies and improve usabililty. **BUG FIXES** • Took care of some creepy critters in the iPad version that were causing issues. Thank you to everyone who submits feedback and bug fixes, you’re playing a role in continuing to make Penedex better. This version includes a fix for how the app displays a purchase date when you choose to not use one. I’ve also added the ability to mark an ink in your library as an ink sample. There has been a minor re-design of the ink library list to increase legibility. I’ve added two new icons for subscribers as well. Saving a new brand in the Add pen/ink view will now make that new brand the selected brand to save with your entry automatically. Minor quality of life improvements and fixes including: - Fixed the icon list so that it sorts alphabetically. - Fixed sorting of photos in the pen and ink detail views so that it no longer re-arranges when the view reloads.
Update to fix sorting by brand name. Multiple entries within the same brand are sorted alphabetically by name thereafter.

# Additions - You can now add photos to your pens and inks! This long requested feature has finally come to Penedex. - You can now toggle the star ratings feature on/off in Settings. Now you don’t have to feel bad for rating your pens against each other. - Improved use of space in the iPad tables. - You can now see an ink color swatch in the Stats tab based on your ink collection. Tap and hold on the ink swatch for a little easter egg. - Increased visibilty of opaque colors and demonstrator pen color displays. - Lots of UI improvements throughout the app, especially on iPad. # Bug Fixes - Fixed syncing issue. - Fixed sorting in tables so you can now sort by each column’s attirbute. - Fixed the issue where the Currently Ink’d Share Square image would present a scrambled date when saving the image. Dates should now render correctly. - Fixed a bug where brand names would get duplicated for certain users. if you have duplicate brands you will need to manually remove them but moving forward you should not get duplicate brand names loaded into your list automatically.

2022.04 - PNDX 4 Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with me for the first year. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with feedback, suggestions, and compliments. It's great to see other people enjoying Penedex as much as I do. To celebrate the one year anniversary of its release I have a big update with new features, fixes, and some design improvements. To see what's in store for today's release, keep reading below. *This version requires iOS 16* - iPad users will now see their collections displayed in data tables, improving the use of space on the iPad. - Added a “Most Used” chart in the Stats view. Now you will always have an up to date view of what you’re using most often. - Added the ability to sort your library based on the total number of times you’ve used a pen or ink. This way you can see which pens and inks haven’t gotten a lot of use lately. - Added additional theme colors - Implemented the Share Sheet to make sharing your Currently Ink’d easier. - Improved the pen and ink pickers inside the Add Ink’d view. It is now simpler to use and more reliable. - Added a fun new icon that may be the “ultemate” icon of all time. - Added the ability to select a color for your pens. - Added the ability to annotate which Line/Collection an Ink comes from. - New Users will now see a pre-loaded list of Brands to help them get started! Known Bug - “Date” was removed fromt the Currently Ink’d shared image due to data export issue. Will place it back once the issue is fixed.

2021.04 Release Notes Happy Holidays and Merry Festivities! I have a big update for Penedex just in time to help you catalog all your new pens and inks that are currently under the tree, or festivus pole, or whever you store your gifts in the winter! Your app island for misfit pens has some cool new features along with awesome refinements for both free and paid users. Keep reading if you want to get all the details, or just tap “Update” if you like surprises! New Features for All - Added a counter in the Ink’d page to show the total number of days since a pen was inked up. You can turn this on/off in the settings. - Added Sort buttons in the Library and Wishlist (yes, a wishlist) to allow for more flexibility in how your library is displayed. More sorting options will be coming in future updates. - Added a Brand List to Settings so that you can edit your list of brands without going into the add pen/ink view. - Need a quicker way to judge your pens and inks? You can now rate the items in your collection with a star rating and use that rating to sort your library! This way you can always tell which pens and inks are your favorite! New Pro Feature - Added a wishlist to help you keep track of future acquisitions. By default, the wishlist is sorted in descending order by the date an item was added. - Added new icons! I have two festive icons just in time for the holidays. I have several other icons as well, let me know on twitter if you can figure out what the icons are referencing! FIXED - Fixed the sorting method for ink library, by deafult it now correctly sorts alphabetically by brand, and then by ink name. - Users can no longer save a brand with no characters. - iPad now opens to the Pen list by default, instead of a blank page. - Pen Detail boxes are now a consistent size when empty. - Fixed text wrapping for long names of pens and inks in the library view.
