This update focuses on refining the new item creation experience with several quality-of-life improvements. When creating a new timeline item, you can now quickly set the date to today or tomorrow with a single tap in the date picker. The calendar and mode of transport pickers in the new item UI have also been enhanced. The title entry field now has more space for typing, clearer visual feedback and the little "x" button to clear the title no longer overlaps with the text as you type. Thank you for using Daylish! The app is very new, so I would love your feedback to shape the future of the app. Just email me at support@manuelkehl.com with any ideas, suggestions, bug reports, issues or questions. And if you're enjoying Daylish, please tell your friends about it and consider leaving a positive rating or review on the App Store. It’s an easy way to make a big difference and I’d really appreciate it :) Best wishes, Manuel
This update improves the duration editing experience and adds an easy way to quickly extend timeline items that are in progress. Just select a timeline item and tap the plus button to choose how many minutes to add. Perfect for when you need a bit more time for that focus session or when your meeting is running long. Furthermore, a few minor visual glitches around the progress bar view were fixed and the countdown time and stop/extend buttons now scale properly with the Dynamic Type text size settings - just like the rest of the UI. You can now add a return journey for any event right from the context menu. The "Return Journey" option intelligently mirrors the transport type and duration from your outbound journey if you have one, making it quick and easy to plan your trip back home. There's also a fix for a rare crash that could happen when switching between timeline layout modes and a fix for a bug that would show the wrong transport mode icon for journey timeline items in the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. The selected day is now automatically refreshed in the right moments. You should always see today's timeline when you expect it. There's also a fix for an issue where newly created draft items could sometimes end up not properly scrolled into view or focused. Thank you for using Daylish! You can now quickly edit the start time by tapping the time of any item in your timeline view, without entering the full "Schedule Mode". This is more convenient for quick adjustments, while the Schedule Mode remains easily accessible for more complex planning workflows. There is also a fix for a bug that prevented the notification badge from being cleared properly in certain cases. Thank you for using Daylish! Draft items are now decorated with a set of playful "construction site" yellow/black bars and an "Under Construction" label. When inserting a new item draft it was previously not easy enough to visually distinguish it at a glance - this should now be more obvious. If you don't like this new look or want to turn off the animations you can tweak it to your liking in Settings. Stay tuned for more as I address your early feedback with each update - and keep the feedback coming (support@manuelkehl.com). Best wishes and thanks for using Daylish! Manuel
This update is the first of many to address your amazing feedback. Thank you! You can now quickly fill gaps in your timeline by tapping the duration bubbles between timeline items. Similarly you can also tap the "overlap" warning indicator to quickly go to scheduling mode in order to fix scheduling conflicts. There is now also a default travel time setting that journeys will adhere to. Convenient for your commute or other regularly occurring journeys. I also optimized a couple things under the hood and added explanation texts for setting up external calendar accounts to use with Daylish. Daylish is brand new and under active development so please keep your feedback coming (support@manuelkehl.com) and help shape the future of the app. I'm already working on the next batch of updates, so stay tuned!
