App Preview Converter is also able to resize your video into all the different resolutions on the Apple App Store. This allows you to record your video just once and use App Preview Converter to turn it into the perfect format for every device. Make sure your listing is as great as it can be with videos formatted specifically for the device it's being viewed on. App Preview Converter also validates your video for you to prevent failed uploads due to requirements such as length. Version 1.8 brings the app up to date with Apple's current App Preview requirements, adds letterbox colors and Shortcuts support, and fixes a long list of bugs. UPDATED FOR TODAY'S APP PREVIEW SPECS • Device options now match the six sizes accepted by App Store Connect, including Apple Vision Pro (3840×2160). • iPhone 6.9"/6.5" covers every Face ID and Dynamic Island iPhone. iPad 13"/12.9" also covers 11" and 10.5" iPads. iPhone 5.5"/4", Apple TV, and Mac now share one 1920×1080 file. • Hover over a device to see exactly which devices and pixel sizes it covers. • Audio is now 256 kbps AAC, and videos with multiple audio tracks are mixed into the single stereo track Apple expects. NEW • Letterbox color: by default, the bars match the colors at the edges of your video, or you can choose your own. • Open the output folder when done: Finder shows your new previews as soon as a batch finishes. You can turn this off. • Shortcuts: a new "Convert to App Previews" action converts a video for the devices you choose, with an optional start time and duration. • A new app icon. FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS • Fixed a thin black line along one edge of videos recorded on some recent iPhones. Letterboxed video is now centered exactly, and videos that are almost the right shape fill the frame. • Portrait videos stored with a rotation now come out right-side up and at the correct size. • Faster conversions, especially when you select multiple devices. • Colors stay consistent, including for Display P3 recordings. • Smoother motion when the source recording has dropped frames. • Canceling no longer slows the app down afterward, and starting again right away works properly. • Failed or canceled conversions no longer leave partially finished files in your output folder. • An encoding error now shows a message instead of closing the app. • Your video and output folder locations are remembered reliably. • Select Video now selects a single file, not folders. • The window remembers its size. • Requires macOS 14 or later.
