{"appstoreID":1462673493,"title":"Arboreal Forest","subtitle":"Measurements with your phone","developerName":"Arboreal AB","description":"Arboreal Forest — Forest Inventory App\n\nThe fastest and most accurate way to measure your forest — straight from your iPhone. Two professional plot methods in one app: fixed-area plots and prism plots. No caliper, no relascope, no paper forms.\n\nUsed by professional foresters, forest engineers, and land managers across Europe and the Americas. Validated in peer-reviewed research and awarded best mobile app for forest measurements.\n\nTwo ways to measure your forest\n\nFIXED-AREA PLOTS\nWalk the plot and measure every tree with AR and LiDAR. Diameter, height and species are recorded tree by tree, and plot results are compiled instantly.\n- Diameter and basal area\n- Trees per hectare\n- Stand volume\n- Tree height\n- Tree species\n\nPRISM PLOTS — NEW\nVariable radius plots (angle-count sampling), the standard method for timber cruising in North America. The iPhone's telephoto camera works as a precise digital prism: stand at plot center, turn around the phone, and the app shows which trees are in.\n- Choose your basal area factor (BAF)\n- Big BAF sampling: count with one BAF, measure a subsample with a larger one — and get stand volume\n- [Automatic slope correction]\n- Basal area and volume on the spot — no tally sheet\n\n2.5x faster than traditional methods\nArboreal Forest replaces caliper, tape, relascope and prism with AR, LiDAR and camera technology. You get compiled results immediately — no office work needed afterwards.\n\nSub-centimeter accuracy\nDiameter measurements validated against manual measurements in a 2024 scientific study show sub-centimeter accuracy. In a 2023 comparison against competing apps, Arboreal Forest outperformed competitors on diameter and trees per hectare.\n\nBuilt for real fieldwork\n\nWorks offline — no signal needed in the forest\nAll data synced to the cloud automatically\nExport via REST API to your own systems\nNo reference sticks or additional tools required\nFamiliar workflow for anyone who has measured sample plots before\n\nTrusted by leading forestry organisations\nSveaskog, Suzano, Forest Design, Treemetrics, Skogshubben, The Navigator Company, and Palos — among others — rely on Arboreal Forest for professional forest inventory.\n\n\"We measured the diameter of 10,236 trees and the systematic error was less than 1 mm.\"\n— Guilherme Fonseca, Forest Engineer, Suzano\n\n\"The measurements in the forest are much smoother and go faster. I get summary and compiled data to interpret directly in the app.\"\n— Sara Brandén, Area Manager, Sveaskog\n\nTry all features for free\n\nNo commitment needed to get started. Subscribe weekly or monthly when you're ready. Your data remains accessible even if you cancel.\n\nTerms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/","bundleID":"Samnor.SwipeDiameter","appiconURL":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/70/30/47/703047bf-066f-7e42-79d1-2694d8988e3c/Placeholder.mill/1024x1024w.webp","formattedPrice":"Free","appUpdated":"2026-10-04T05:05:44.000Z","appReleased":"2019-12-12T08:00:00.000Z","version":"6.09","platforms":["iphone","ipad"],"minOS":{},"languages":["EN","DE","PT","ES","SV"],"size":"85.6 MB","category":"Business","developerWebsite":"https://arboreal.se/en/home","screenshots":[{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/67/0d/eb/670debc5-7221-6712-fc40-1ef74b5cf4f0/ipad-en-1.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/d5/e3/63/d5e36348-464b-1856-c6d8-4af033f0ff9c/ipad-en-2.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/ad/29/e8/ad29e8ec-e9a7-c6bc-0efd-794889126158/ipad-en-6.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/ba/e2/05/bae205eb-e628-6715-ef01-93afdf925266/ipad-en-4.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/ce/a0/2a/cea02a98-1c4b-4d4c-2688-8dca0191bdee/ipad-en-3.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"ipad","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d2/62/fa/d262fa97-bf19-0a17-3891-1fb2169822b1/ipad-en-5.png/2064x2752w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/0e/b3/6a/0eb36a6e-1eda-a5b9-80ef-1187cbd10f5b/en-1.png/1284x2778w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/92/29/b3/9229b346-bf15-9dfd-085a-2c98ece24d4d/en-2.png/1284x2778w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/c2/6c/0a/c26c0aef-97ab-a785-f6e7-67f094bd619a/en-6.png/1284x2778w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/16/76/24/16762490-290f-b571-cd15-691fe49773d6/en-4.png/1284x2778w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/8e/17/58/8e175824-19c7-26f2-efa2-18883d19b5a5/en-3.png/1284x2778w.webp"},{"platform":"iphone","url":"https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/9f/0b/59/9f0b596b-9178-0387-80b4-7f9f3e0a465a/en-5.png/1284x2778w.webp"}]}
